Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Personal Banker to join our team at Old Point Financial. As a Personal Banker, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and promoting the bank's products and services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized banking solutions to customers through opening and updating accounts, selling and cross-selling bank products and services.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to and resolving internal and external customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work closely with branch officers to maintain branch security and adhere to established policies and procedures.
  • Serve as back-up teller performing teller duties when required.
  • Assist branch officer with branch operations through the performance of assigned duties and projects.
  • Attend required meetings and training to stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and 6-12 months of experience in banking as a Teller or Personal Banker or related field.
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer and basic knowledge of bank products and services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
