The role of an IT Specialist is pivotal in addressing technical challenges within an organization. Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities associated with this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilitating communication between in-house IT professionals and remote staff, vendors, and contractors.
  • Setting up, configuring, and overseeing wireless network systems.
  • Creating, analyzing, reporting, converting, and transferring data through systems utilizing application software.
  • Regularly assessing our IT systems to ensure they meet operational demands.
  • Assisting with network management tasks.
  • Ensuring the security and integrity of data storage.
  • Supporting the daily operations of our computer network.
  • Gathering data by identifying information sources and designing effective survey and collection methods.
  • Resolving data retrieval issues by modifying designs to meet requirements.
  • Compiling reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
  • Providing clients with information by devising methods to collect and retrieve data.

Understanding client needs by establishing rapport with potential and existing clients and other stakeholders to comprehend service requirements.

  • Preparing user references by developing operating instructions.
  • Maintaining historical records by documenting system modifications and updates.
  • Upholding client confidentiality and protecting operations by safeguarding sensitive information.
  • Enhancing professional and technical knowledge by participating in educational workshops, reviewing industry publications, building professional networks, and engaging in professional organizations.
  • Contributing to team objectives by achieving related results as necessary.
  • Establishing and refining databases by collaborating with analysts and programmers to code and retrieve data.
  • Maintaining databases through accurate data entry.

Qualifications

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or engineering.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in IT or database management.
  • Experience with the following environments: Mac OS, Windows 10 & Windows Server 2008+, Active Directory, Exchange / Office 365, Network Storage, Azure, KACE 1000.
  • Proficiency in setting up and troubleshooting various technical devices such as laptops, video conferencing systems, and mobile devices.
  • Working knowledge of scripting languages (Powershell, Bash, Java, etc.).
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Professional and personable demeanor.
