Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to join our USMA Respiratory team. As a key member of our Medical Matrix Team, you will play a critical role in developing and executing medical strategies for our assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement US medical strategies and plans, ensuring alignment with commercial asset strategies.
  • Contribute to the cross-functional Medical Matrix Team to tailor global asset strategies for US customer needs and environment.
  • Gain strategic alignment of asset positioning and evidence planning with overall therapeutic portfolio and disease area strategies.
  • Engage with external communities to advance scientific and medical understanding, including the development and use of our medicines.
  • Coordinate with US MSL and GMAL on joint global and US engagement of top US-based EEs.
  • Stay up-to-date on the evolving healthcare environment and payer landscapes, translating this knowledge into actionable plans.
  • Review, synthesize, and analyze clinical trial and RWE data, translating data into actionable plans at the product level.
  • Develop product strategy for local Medical Advisory Board and Expert Panel meetings, Medical Grants, and Medical Publications.
  • Support Medical Information on FAQs and standard response letters.
  • Ensure sound medical governance for all activities.
Requirements
  • Healthcare Doctorate (PharmD, PhD, MD, DO, DNP, NP, PA).
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Experience working in a US healthcare environment.
  • External stakeholder management experience.
  • Experience working in medical affairs accountabilities, evidence generation, external HCP engagement, and providing internal advice.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of medical affairs, scientific director, or medical director experience in HQ.
  • Demonstrate respiratory experience and disease area expertise.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and drive change, proactively looking for new opportunities and anticipating the need for change.
  • Continuous improvement and a performance-based culture.
  • Flexible thinking and good judgment.
  • Customer-focused and able to understand patient needs and institutional concerns.
  • Ability to work effectively with others, delegate appropriately, and foster a culture of collaboration.
