We're looking for a High Voltage Electrician to join our team in Redding, California. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary of approximately $**$93,400 - $143,600 per year**, depending on experience. As a High Voltage Electrician, you'll install, test, and troubleshoot high-voltage electrical equipment, controls, and systems at our hydroelectric powerplants, water storage and diversion dams, pumping plants, and other facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing, testing, and troubleshooting high-voltage electrical equipment, controls, and systems
  • Maintaining and repairing electrical lines, circuits, systems, equipment, and controls
  • Planning and laying out routing, placement, type, size, gauge, balance, load, continuity, and proper operation of electrical lines, circuits, and systems
  • Identifying needs for and planning the installation of distribution panels, boxes, circuits, fittings, connections, and controls
  • Operating a motor vehicle and may operate overhead and gantry cranes, forklifts, bucket trucks, boats, manlifts, and rigging loads

Requirements:

  • A valid State Driver's License is required
  • A background investigation is required
  • A successful pre-employment physical examination is required
  • Periodic and regular recurring safety and health medical examinations are required

This is a bargaining unit position represented by a Union. Additional vacancies may be filled using this job announcement. The Bureau of Reclamation has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework only during an emergency or natural disaster.
