Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at KTA Super Stores in Hilo. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction by accurately assisting pharmacists with processing and filling prescriptions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process prescriptions, medical information, and customer requests
  • Retrieve and stock medications, supplies, and merchandise
  • Operate a cash register, computer, and other office equipment to process transactions and manage inventory
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions, and resolving issues in a friendly and professional manner
  • Work collaboratively with pharmacists, other healthcare providers, and insurance companies to ensure accurate and timely prescription fulfillment
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse customers and colleagues
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform other physical demands of the job
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
