Rochester, New York, United States University of Rochester Full time
Opportunity for a Radiologist in Pediatric Care

The University of Rochester is seeking a skilled Radiologist to join its team in the Department of Imaging Sciences. This position is part of the division of Pediatrics Radiology at the University of Rochester Medical Center.

We are a Level 1 trauma center in the Rochester region, and our Golisano Children's Hospital is a nationally ranked, freestanding acute care children's hospital. Our new facility features a Dual energy CT and one of the country's only PET/MRI embedded directly into a children's hospital.

We are looking for a Radiologist with experience in pediatric IR, but it is not required. The University is home to the region's largest NICU and PICU, and the majority of complicated cardiac surgeries in Western NY are performed within the Children's Hospital.

Our compensation and benefit packages are highly competitive, including 403b and 457 plans, disability insurance, and tuition benefits. As a non-profit institution, service time may count toward the public service federal loan forgiveness program. Faculty enjoy competitive combined vacation and conference time each year.

The department has maintained an average of one day per week of dedicated academic/administrative time to allow for professional development. We are a community that welcomes, encourages, and supports individuals who desire to contribute to and benefit from the institution's mission of teaching, research, patient care, performance, and community service.

We have a pluralistic community that includes faculty, students, and staff with a wide range of culture, race, and beliefs. Our organization encompasses a regional prenatal center, trauma center, burn center, cancer center, a level 4 epilepsy center, and liver and cardiac transplant centers.

Rochester is a mid-sized city with extensive cultural and recreational opportunities. These include art, science, and children's museums, The George Eastman Museum, a zoo, top Philharmonic and Pops Orchestras, and multiple theaters including Broadway plays.

Housing is affordable, and the majority of faculty children attend excellent public schools with many subsequently admitted to highly competitive universities. The Finger Lakes region of New York is famous for its outdoor participatory sports and is the 3rd largest wine region in the United States.
