We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team at TranSystems. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for airport and civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop airport and civil engineering projects, including preparation of design calculations, construction documents, specifications, and estimates.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with construction plans and specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers to develop project plans and schedules.
- Research and analyze data to identify design options and document findings.
- Develop and maintain project databases and ensure data accuracy.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing education and professional development.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or college.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in civil engineering design and construction, with a focus on airport and civil engineering projects.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant software.
- Ability to travel within the continental United States, with occasional travel outside of the US.
- Civil Engineer-in-Training/Fundamentals of Engineering Certification.
- Valid driver's license.
- Highway or general civil engineering background, with knowledge of AutoCAD and experience with airport, highway, or civil engineering design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- PennDOT Highway or General Civil consulting and/or construction services experience, or experience with aviation or highway engineering/inspection in Pennsylvania.
- Current Professional Civil Engineer license, or ability to obtain a Pennsylvania Civil Professional Engineers License within 24 months.
- Construction administration duties, including shop drawings, RFIs, payment requests, etc.
- Construction inspection experience, with knowledge of NEWFORMA.
