Job Summary

Avante at Leesburg, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Services Director to lead the Social Services Department in providing exceptional care and support to our residents. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the department, ensuring that the social and emotional needs of our residents are met and maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement programs and services that promote the social and emotional well-being of our residents.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other departments to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of social services staff to provide high-quality services.
  • Conduct assessments and develop care plans that address the social and emotional needs of our residents.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations governing social services in long-term care facilities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-term care, with at least 1 year of supervised social work experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
