About the Role

Burns & McDonnell's Consumer Products team is seeking a highly skilled Senior Instrumentation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading design teams to create world-class designs for grassroots and revamp/brown field refining and chemical projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design team throughout the Engineering/design, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) process, adapting I&C plans according to assigned budget, schedule, engineering/design standards, and client requirements.
  • Provide leadership and guidance for less experienced engineers, ensuring compliance with company and project site safety policies.
  • Develop and implement instrumentation engineering/design deliverables, including Instrument Index, Instrument Data Sheets, Instrument Installation Details, Instrument Location Plans, Wiring Diagrams, and Loop Diagrams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, customers, and contractors to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program.
  • 7 years of electrical engineering experience, with EPC project experience preferred.
  • Expert knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures, with strong knowledge of electrical equipment design ANSI and IEEE Standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment.
