We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Specialist Solutions Architect to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO), you will work closely with customers to design and implement advanced containerized solutions architectures.

With a strong background in cloud computing and containerization, you will be responsible for deploying and operating workloads on AWS using Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS), Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS), AWS Fargate, Kubernetes, or other container orchestration platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement advanced containerized solutions architectures
  • Deploy and operate workloads on AWS using Amazon EKS, ECS, Fargate, Kubernetes, or other container orchestration platforms
  • Earn trust and partner with technical customer executives to design, develop, and deliver large on-premises to AWS migration and modernization initiatives
  • Use data and customer anecdotes to influence feature development and future product roadmaps
  • Partner with Business Development teams to define container components of best-in-class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience working with customers in helping them with technology decisions hosted and managed services in the technology industry
  • 5+ years of business development, strategic partnerships, consulting, or program/product management experience
  • Experience in software development methodologies, CI/CD, DevOps, and High Availability architectures in the cloud
  • 3+ years of experience in working with cloud-native and containerized workloads with a financial services organization
  • Experience with working with cloud-native applications, container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, ECS, EKS, Fargate, Docker, Mesos, OpenShift, RedHat, and/or others
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Serverless and application modernization tools
  • Experience working with the Developer Ecosystem in startups, Fortune 1000, and/or Global 2000 organizations
  • Experience in selling technical cloud services or software technology services to financial services organizations
  • MBA, Computer Science, and/or Engineering/Math background is highly desired; working knowledge of software development practices and data center/infrastructure/networking technologies highly desired
