The Department of Parks & Recreation is seeking a highly skilled Archaeological Project Leader to join our team in the Facilities & Development division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading archaeological projects, including excavation, site survey, and recordation, as well as construction monitoring and report writing.
Key Responsibilities- Lead archaeological projects, including excavation, site survey, and recordation
- Conduct construction monitoring and ensure compliance with archaeological regulations
- Prepare and submit reports on project findings and recommendations
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement project plans
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff members
- Master's degree in Archaeology or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in archaeological project management
- Strong knowledge of archaeological methods and regulations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Experience with GIS software and mapping techniques
