Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate English Language Arts teacher to join our team at Camden Prep. As an ELA teacher, you will be responsible for creating a engaging and inclusive learning environment that fosters a love of reading and writing in our students.

You will teach from a robust literature curriculum that prioritizes inclusive texts, emphasizes diversity, and prepares students for Advanced Placement (AP), SAT and collegiate level coursework.

Responsibilities
  • Teach English Language Arts to high school students, including reading, writing, and discussion skills
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Partner with colleagues to develop academic goals and practice instructional strategies
  • Participate in weekly, school-wide meetings to cultivate community and model our core values
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Academic expertise in Humanities, English, Social Sciences, or other related fields of study

  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting students' social emotional and academic development
