Medical Records Manager

At Knapp Medical Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Medical Records to join our team. As a key member of our Health Information Management Department, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and influencing department activities to ensure the maintenance of hospital medical records while promoting continuous quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Health Information Management Department in maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and data management
- Monitor and analyze departmental performance to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement training programs for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- Minimum two years of experience in HIM management or supervisory roles
- Successful completion of college-level courses in anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and coding
- ICD and CPT knowledge required
- Registered Health Information Technician (R.H.I.T.) or Registered Health Information Administrator (R.H.I.A.) certification required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field preferred
