Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled receptionist to manage front office operations in a healthcare environment.

This role is initially a contract position with potential for extension or direct hire.

Compensation: $19.00/hour

Working Hours: 8:30am-5:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming calls and direct them appropriately.
  • Facilitate patient check-in and check-out processes.
  • Assist visitors and handle inquiries both over the phone and in person.
  • Retrieve and manage medical records for follow-up appointments.
  • Confirm and schedule patient appointments.
  • Relay messages between staff and physicians.
  • Collect and process patient co-payments using the designated system.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and verify insurance eligibility as required.
  • Update patient information and insurance details during visits.


Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in customer service and administrative roles within a medical office setting.
  • Experience with EPIC/EHR systems is preferred.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • The ideal candidate should be a quick learner and thrive in a dynamic work environment.
