About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Siemens Healthineers. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing examinations of patients of all ages to assist in the diagnosis of patient illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions according to department procedures and protocols.
  • Locate and record internal elements of the body, and identify any anomalies indicative of disease, injury, or other medically significant conditions.
  • Adjust equipment and calm patients to eliminate test artifacts.
  • Monitor patients for potentially dangerous physical and emotional changes.
  • Evaluate test results for clarity and accuracy.
  • Review tests with peers and physicians.
  • Inform physicians of preliminary findings as requested according to department procedures.
  • Distribute completed test results to physicians and service providers.
  • Prepare diagnostic information for physician interpretation.
  • Maintain patient charts, enter diagnosis and billing codes, log data into patient information systems, and update file systems for tests performed.
  • Clean and sterilize equipment and workspace.
  • Recognize equipment malfunctions and readjust equipment or write referrals for repair.
  • Instruct patients in pretest preparation, answer questions, and explain procedures.
  • Comply with Siemens, hospital, and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain equipment according to Infection Control procedure.
  • Maintain technical competency through continued education and participation in Siemens training programs.
  • Under guidance and approval of site Radiologist, administer contrast agents according to site-specific protocols.
  • Maintain current Permits to Practice in all states in which services are performed.
  • Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshoot problems.
  • Call for service and notify all pertinent team members.
  • Follow quality assurance guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements
  • Radiographer background with a minimum of 1 year hospital or 2 years clinic experience required, specifically in ER, OR, Trauma, and Portables.
  • Valid ARRT license, registered in Radiography.
  • Valid CPR certificate.
  • State license in IA (will consider candidate that doesn't have this, if willing to obtain).

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal needed.
  • Ability to interact with client personnel and team members in an autonomous, responsible, professional, and ethical manner.
  • Must be flexible, reliable, and demonstrate sound judgment and initiative.
