Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Enrichment Coordinator to join our team at St. Louis Park Public Schools. The successful candidate will provide professional-level support to the Youth Services Supervisor and the Department by assisting in the operation of program services, evaluating programming needs, surveys and data reporting, coordinating youth enrichment staff activities, and purchasing program materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the expansion, alignment, and successful implementation of Out-of-School Time (OST) programming.
  • Coordinate processes for daily programming, including scheduling, recruitment, retention, data collection, and reporting, behavior management, registration, and transportation.
  • Assist in the implementation of nutrition offerings in Youth Enrichment Program (YEP) programming, including distribution and tracking.
  • Perform various support functions, as assigned, including purchasing curriculum materials, supplies, and equipment, and maintaining records.
  • Conduct ongoing student surveys and needs assessments in collaboration with the Program Supervisor.
  • Coordinate a variety of youth programs, classes, student services, community services, workshops, training programs, and after-school programs in support of St. Louis Park Public Schools community education goals.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate diversified enrichment activities for youth/families, adults, ensuring activities meet the current and future needs of the department, district, and community.
  • Promote lifelong learning and market programs, develop promotional media, flyers, e-marketing, and public service announcements; participate in community outreach programs, and promote St. Louis Park Public Schools community education.
  • Coordinate daily functions of registrations, cancellations, payments, and associated communications with participants and instructors; manage deposits of cash and checks for fee-based programs.
  • Engage, request, and maintain contracts with community partners.
  • Complete and coordinate special projects, grant applications, and research assignments.
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, records, and YEP information.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience developing, implementing, supervising, or coordinating youth education programs.
  • Demonstrated leadership in education or related fields.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate K-12 standards into basic experiential learning philosophy.
Working Conditions

The work environment is typically quiet, and the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
