Job Title: Kadima Youth Group Advisor

About the Role:

Beth El Synagogue is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to serve as the Kadima Youth Group Advisor. This role is responsible for planning and facilitating regular Kadima events, developing positive relationships with middle school students, and managing behavior concerns and interpersonal relationships as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee teen leaders to ensure programs are planned on time, advertised on social media, and all logistics are confirmed in a timely manner.
  • Attend all Kadima programs, including bi-monthly onsite and offsite programs, and conventions and retreats as listed.
  • Serve as a role model for students, both secularly and Jewishly, and help foster healthy and safe relationships among students.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Youth Engagement.

Requirements:

  • History of working with middle schoolers and excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic Jewish traditions and practice.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation:

Salaried at $3,000 paid biweekly from August to May.

Work Environment:

The work environment is moderate, with occasional lifting and moving of up to 10 pounds.
