Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respite Support Specialist to provide temporary care and supervision for individuals with developmental disabilities in the Inland Empire region.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with individuals with special needs, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. This is a part-time position requiring weekend availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide intermittent, regular scheduled, temporary care and supervision for clients in their homes or community settings.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as feeding, dressing, toileting, bathing, grooming, and light meal preparation.
  • Use safety precautions at all times when providing care to clients and maintain certification of CPR and First Aid.
  • Report suspected incidents of abuse and complete required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and submit reports as instructed by the Respite Program Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Computer proficiency, with ability to operate software programs used by UCPIE.
  • CPR & First Aide Certification required; TB test and clean fingerprint clearance also required.

Salary and Benefits
