About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Lab Technician to join our team at AdventHealth Orlando. As a key member of our surgical skills lab, you will be responsible for the procurement, preparation, and disposition of anatomical specimens for educational and research programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procure, prepare, and dispose of anatomical specimens in accordance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
  • Maintain accurate and secure records of specimen identification, tracking, and disposal.
  • Support the setup and execution of surgical skills lab events, including the preparation of specimens and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the skills lab team to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as hospital policies and procedures.
  • Assist with after-hours programming and research efforts as needed.
Requirements
  • Completion of college-level science and/or medical classes.
  • Prior work experience in surgical skills labs and/or the operating room (minimum 3 years).
  • Preferred education and experience: BS degree in a science major, minimum of 5 years of surgical experience, multi-specialty surgical operating room experience, and/or minimum 3-5 years of veterinary care experience.
