Supervises: None

Basic Qualifications:
Education/Training: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Alternatively, candidates with a High School Diploma and two to three years of relevant banking experience, along with specialized financial analysis training, will be considered. Candidates must obtain and maintain appropriate Bank Product Knowledge Certification.

Skills Required:
Advanced reading, writing, and mathematical skills; proficient interpersonal relations and effective communication abilities; comprehensive knowledge of current lending, appraisal, and loan review regulations; advanced skills in analyzing and interpreting financial statements; risk rating expertise; loan structuring and covenanting capabilities; understanding of concentration risk and pricing philosophy; strong PC skills, including proficiency in spreadsheet and loan management software; excellent time management abilities; technical skills to assist in training Credit Analyst I(s); valid driver's license.

Experience:
A minimum of two to three years of directly related banking experience is required.

General Responsibilities:
The Credit Analyst II is tasked with ensuring a proficient commercial credit underwriting process by preparing financial statement analyses; delivering detailed evaluations and risk rating recommendations for proposed commercial loan requests and the Bank's primary commercial relationships; analyzing collateral valuations; ensuring compliance with loan policies; and proposing alternative solutions through structuring, conditions, and covenants to mitigate risk.

Essential Duties:
1. Analyze financial statements and tax returns for commercial clients.
2. Provide comprehensive narrative financial analyses, including discussions on financial condition, cash flow, balance sheet trends, ratio analyses, loan pricing reviews, peer comparisons, and collateral assessments.
3. Collaborate with commercial lending staff to prepare loan submission packages for new requests, modifications, and collateral substitutions/releases.
4. Underwrite retail branch commercial proposals, addressing repayment capacity, credit report factors, risk assessments, and collateral analyses.
5. Offer guidance and timely follow-up to retail branch staff to facilitate efficient loan decisions.
6. Evaluate loan proposals for compliance with Bank and Regulatory policies, ensuring all exceptions are properly identified.
7. Recommend alternative loan structures, covenants, and conditions to reduce credit risk.
8. Approve loans and ACHs within designated lending authority.
9. Assign appropriate risk ratings for new requests and existing loan relationships to support ongoing risk management.
10. Conduct annual reviews for the Bank's top commercial loan relationships, analyzing financial trends and compliance with loan covenants.
11. Update Criticized Asset Reports with financial updates and recommend necessary risk rating adjustments.
12. Order appraisals and conduct collateral evaluations to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
13. Review environmental reports and appraisal values for real estate secured loans to ensure compliance.
14. Provide backup for the setup of commercial loan requests in underwriting software.
15. Assist in training Credit Analyst I and Administrative Analyst.
16. Participate in the administration of the Bank's commercial underwriting software and recommend process improvements.
17. Engage in special projects as assigned by the Credit Quality Management team.
18. Maintain positive working relationships with bank employees across departments, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.

Additional Responsibilities:
