POSITION SUMMARY:

The role involves assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal products, components, and equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assemble units, exhaust fans, house doors, damper hoods, and fabricate pan rings according to specified job orders.
  • Smooth rough surfaces using files and grinders.
  • Install and secure metal or wood flooring and/or coverings.
  • Apply primer, paint, and caulk as necessary.
  • Execute close-up requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
  • Ability to interpret structural drawings.
  • Familiarity with 6S methodology.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Proficient reading and writing skills.
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools.
  • Ability to read and understand a tape measure.
  • Skill in using a paintbrush.
  • Experience operating an air-assisted paint gun.
  • Understanding of various flooring types.
  • Knowledge of different metal types and gauging.
  • Proficiency in utilizing pneumatic and hydraulic hand tools.
  • Capability to operate a forklift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) along with three to six months of relevant experience and/or training is required.
