Job Summary

This position is responsible for working collaboratively as part of a production team to manufacture and assemble high-quality glass, doors, frames, and sub-components. The successful candidate will follow work orders and standard operating procedures to meet daily safety, quality, and productivity targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble or produce component parts into completed subassemblies, assemblies, or completed units adhering to assembly travelers and standard work instructions.
  • Maintain acceptable performance standards for assembly, production, quality, safety, and housekeeping, and ongoing 6-S initiatives.
  • Inspect parts or completed units using visual inspection, gages, tape measures, check fixtures, calipers, or other inspection equipment.
  • Perform end-of-line product checks and/or repairs.
  • Notify and communicate with assemblers, leads, and supervisors or upstream changes to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Assist assembly groups with problem-solving and make recommendations for in-line and subsequent checks to increase first-pass yield.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills useful.
  • Ability to read tape measure and understand fractions and decimals.
  • Good communication skills (written and oral).
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time.
