Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Radiation Therapist to join our team at Ascension St Joseph Hospital in Chicago, IL. As a key member of our Radiation Therapy department, you will be responsible for leading assigned staff in performing activities or tasks in radiation therapy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead or coordinate shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or associates.
  • Serve as a technical or functional resource and perform similar duties with staff.
  • Assign, monitor, and review progress of work.
  • Monitor and report compliance with policies and/or procedures.
  • Oversee and evaluate the orientation and training of assigned associates.
  • May provide input in the review and evaluation of staff performance.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiation Therapy credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Radiation Therapist obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
