At Frontier Behavioral Health, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care to individuals in need. Our Homeless Outreach Stabilization Team (HOST) program aims to serve homeless individuals with behavioral health challenges who have not benefited from traditional outpatient programs.

About the Position

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our HOST team. As a member of this multidisciplinary team, you will work in community settings to provide on-going services to homeless individuals, primarily those in need of psychiatric and medical attention. Your role will involve coordinating medical aspects of care, monitoring and administering medications, and educating clients about their treatment and mental health conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Care Coordination: Coordinate medical aspects of care, including monitoring and administration of medications for clients.
  • Nursing Consultation: Access the assigned nurse manager for nursing-related consultation as needed.
  • Client Education: Provide education to clients regarding their treatment, medical, and mental health condition.
  • Health Promotion: Develop and engage clients in health promotion activities such as health and wellness clinics, smoking cessation efforts, and client education programs for disease prevention.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: On-going assessment of mental status and the positive impact and side effects of current treatment.
  • Staff Training: Provide specialized training and consultation to other staff members on medical/mental health issues relating to clients and their care.
Requirements
  • Licensure: RN licensed in the State of Washington.
  • Experience: One year experience in the direct treatment of individuals with mental illness.
Work Environment

This position involves daily travel between locations, including emergency homeless shelters, transitional homeless shelters, and other community settings. You must be able to drive a vehicle, traverse distances up to several city blocks, and navigate stairs frequently. Daily use of a computer is also required.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $87,120 - $106,149, based on longevity at Frontier Behavioral Health. We offer a competitive compensation package and a range of benefits, including opportunities for growth and development within our organization.
