About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Residential Youth Counselor to join our team. As a Residential Youth Counselor, you will work closely with youth and staff to create a positive and collaborative environment. Your primary responsibility will be to build supportive relationships with youth and staff while maintaining healthy boundaries.

Responsibilities:
  • Build supportive relationships with youth and staff
  • Maintain and model healthy and safe boundaries with youth
  • Acknowledge and respect various lifestyles, behaviors, and cultural practices
  • Assess emergency situations and provide proper support
  • Follow mandated reporting and licensing policies
  • De-escalate youth in crises using anti-racist, inclusive, equity-based, and trauma-informed care
  • Process intakes and exits for youth, provide orientation, and enter required data
  • Partner with case managers to support youth case plans
Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent
  • 6 months minimum experience working with youth
  • DCYF background clearance
  • Acceptable driver's abstract with no more than 2 violations within the last 3 years
  • Possess a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this role is $19-$22 per hour, depending on the shift. We offer a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision health options, a 403(b) retirement plan, and paid training opportunities.
