Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Build strong relationships with residents, respond to their needs in a timely and courteous manner, and go above and beyond to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Protect and Improve Asset Value: Ensure that building engineering systems continue to perform their intended function, and take proactive measures to improve the value of our clients' assets.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct regular preventive maintenance on apartments and building equipment, and perform repairs and cleaning of property both interior and exterior.
  • Respond to Emergencies: Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to emergency situations and provide prompt assistance to residents.
  • Perform Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, and Carpentry Repairs: Diagnose and repair issues with electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry systems, and perform other related tasks as needed.
  • Maintain and Repair HVAC Systems: Ensure that HVAC systems are functioning properly, and perform routine maintenance and repairs to prevent breakdowns.
  • Complete Grounds Work: Perform tasks such as grounds pick-up, sweeping, and light landscaping as needed to maintain the appearance of our properties.
  • Mentor and Train Colleagues: Assign work orders, schedule apartment turnovers, and coordinate vendors and contractors in the maintenance manager's absence to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of education.
  • CFC Universal Certification: Required.
  • Maintenance Experience: At least 1-5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems in multi-family housing and mid to large-size facility operations.
  • Communication Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, and able to communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Ability to work effectively as a team contributor, respond to changing priorities, and adapt to new situations.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift heavy objects, and perform physical tasks as required.
