We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at First Student in Hammonton, NJ. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing school buses to ensure vehicle readiness and safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and annual DOT maintenance inspections.
- Diagnose and repair vehicle and equipment issues, including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions.
- Ensure work orders are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with mobile emergency services as needed.
- Valid driver's license required; willingness to obtain CDL while employed.
- At least 3 years of automotive or diesel maintenance and repair experience or technical school education.
- Possess a mechanic's tool set.
- Willingness to participate in ASE certification program; training, testing, and bonuses provided.
