Position Summary

The Housekeeper, under the supervision of the Environmental Services Director, is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the facility to ensure a safe and healthy environment for residents. This role requires respectful interaction with residents, family members, visitors, and staff, and is classified as safety-sensitive.

Key Responsibilities

While not every task is explicitly outlined, employees may be assigned additional duties as deemed necessary by management. The following are essential functions of the position:
  • Execute designated cleaning and housekeeping tasks as instructed by the supervisor.
  • Adhere to safety protocols while performing cleaning procedures.
  • Complete all scheduled assignments in individual units and common areas.
  • Assist with post-event clean-up in dining areas and other locations as required.
  • Monitor inventory levels and inform the supervisor of supply requirements.
  • Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained in optimal condition and returned to its designated location after use.
  • Support room transitions as necessary.
  • Document maintenance requests as needed.
  • Engage in ongoing training and participate in team meetings.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance is a critical aspect of this role.
Essential Skills and Physical Requirements

  • Ability to think critically, including reading and interpreting detailed information.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to walk significant distances daily.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to hear and engage in normal conversations.
  • Effective verbal communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
  • Proficient written communication skills, both by hand and on a computer.
