Prairie State College seeks experienced faculty members to teach HVAC courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and nurturing the education of students by planning courses of study according to curriculum guidelines and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver instruction in the theory, application, and troubleshooting of heating and air conditioning systems.
  • Demonstrate competency in heating and air conditioning and maintain a safe environment conducive to learning.
  • Monitor, assist with, and correct academic efforts.
  • Maintain student records and participate in curriculum development and revision.
  • Have a flexible schedule for teaching assignments.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years' experience in the field of heating and air conditioning required.
  • Current Universal 608 EPA License.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with installation and repair on all types of residential and light commercial air conditioning and heating systems.
  • Motivation, dedication, professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm for teaching.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous teaching and training experience.

Salary:

Commensurate with PSC Adjunct scale.
