HVAC Professor

Job Summary:

Prairie State College seeks experienced adjunct faculty to teach HVCR courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and nurturing the education of students by planning courses of study according to curriculum guidelines and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver courses of study according to curriculum guidelines and objectives.
• Monitor, assist with, and correct academic efforts.
• Provide a safe environment conducive to learning.
• Instruct students in the theory, application, and troubleshooting of heating and air conditioning systems.
• Demonstrate competency in heating and air conditioning.
• Maintain student records and participate in curriculum development and revision.

Requirements:

• Minimum of three years' experience in the field of heating and air conditioning required.
• Current Universal 608 EPA License.
• Demonstrated experience and proficiency with installation and repair on all types of residential and light commercial air conditioning and heating systems.
• Motivation, dedication, professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm for teaching.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous teaching and training experience preferred.

Salary and Benefits:

Commensurate with PSC Adjunct scale.
