About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Regions Hospital. As an Oncology Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients with cancer, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, inpatient, homecare, and hospice staff to address patient needs and ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Contribute to an environment that is centered on the needs of patients and their families, demonstrating a caring and competent manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to a culture of safety and excellence.
Requirements
  • Completion of an associate degree in nursing with one year of RN experience OR completion of a bachelor's degree in nursing OR Master's Degree in nursing.
  • One year hospital nursing or equivalent experience required.
  • Current Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification or willingness to obtain within 1 to 2 years of hire OR successful completion of 36 cancer-related continuing education nursing contact hours each Commission on Cancer accreditation cycle (tracked by department).
  • Registered Nurse license in the state of Minnesota.
  • Registered Nurse license in the state of Wisconsin (or received within 1 year of hire or have documentation showing it is in-process within 6 months of hire).
  • BLS through AHA certified program.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year in oncology care or outpatient oncology clinic setting.
