About the Role

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Hillcrest Hospital. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in capturing high-quality images to aid in patient diagnosis. You will work closely with physicians to prepare and operate MRI equipment, position patients correctly, and record diagnostic images.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and check patients prior to MRI procedure
  • Acquire and review patient questionnaire, chart, and data/requisition to determine contraindication of having MRI examination
  • Verify and validate the patient screening safety form
  • Perform MRI procedures required per protocol and perform daily QA
  • Perform venipunctures
  • Educate patients regarding MRI procedures, equipment, and exams
  • Ensure patients' comfort and safety during and after the exam
  • Assist with scheduling patients
  • Administer proper contrast related to patient having MRI exam
  • Acquire, archive, transmit, and print images via PACS
  • Complete after-hours transmission of images and appropriate paperwork
  • Immediately report any malfunctions, observe potential equipment dysfunctions, and report problems or call for service
  • Maintain available equipment up-time at the highest level for patient accessibility
  • Process billing via RIS
  • Potentially rotate through all imaging modalities, sites, and/or locations
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT
  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT), or R.T.(S)(ARRT), or R.T.(T)(ARRT), in good standing
  • OR Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(N) (ARRT) in good standing or be a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
  • ARDMS and NMTCB are primary pathways
  • Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging: R.T.(MR)(ARRT) required within one year of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist or experience in other imaging modalities
