Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our imaging department.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and check patients prior to MRI procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Acquire and review patient questionnaires, charts, and data to determine contraindications for MRI examinations.
  • Verify and validate patient screening safety forms, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Perform MRI procedures according to protocol, maintaining high-quality images and adhering to safety standards.
  • Administer contrast agents as required, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Acquire, archive, transmit, and print images via PACS, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Complete after-hours transmission of images and paperwork, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or potential dysfunctions, taking prompt action to resolve issues.
  • Maintain available equipment uptime at the highest level, ensuring patient accessibility and minimizing downtime.
  • Process billing via RIS, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement.
  • Instruct and mentor new hires and radiology students, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Attend in-service programs and professional affiliation sessions, staying up-to-date with the latest technical information and skills.
  • Potentially rotate through all imaging modalities, sites, and locations, expanding your skills and expertise.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT.
  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in good standing, or a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
  • Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) required within one year of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
