POSITION SUMMARY:


The Cardiac Ultrasound Specialist is responsible for conducting high-quality echocardiographic examinations as directed by medical professionals, along with executing various other non-invasive cardiac assessments within the Cardiac Diagnostics Department.


EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Preferred

  • Minimum of two years' experience in cardiac ultrasound
  • Familiarity with additional non-invasive testing modalities, including CCVT
  • Experience in pediatric cardiovascular assessments

CERTIFICATIONS:

Essential:

  • Certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or CCI as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
  • Current CPR certification

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:


The candidate must demonstrate the capability to perform thorough and accurate echocardiogram studies while exhibiting exceptional organizational skills to thrive in a dynamic environment. The ability to prioritize and manage daily responsibilities effectively is crucial. A solid understanding of departmental procedures and equipment is necessary. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, along with basic computer proficiency for data entry tasks. The individual must be capable of fulfilling the essential functions of the role.
