Position Overview:

As a Buyer/Planner, you will be responsible for overseeing inventory management and executing effective purchasing strategies. Your expertise will be crucial in analyzing market trends and collaborating with suppliers to ensure optimal inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management: Oversee and maintain accurate inventory levels to align with production and business needs.

Market Analysis: Research and analyze buying trends to forecast future inventory requirements.

Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesalers and suppliers to ensure seamless procurement.

Risk Assessment: Assess financial risks associated with purchasing decisions to support strategic planning.

Industry Engagement: Attend trade shows and product exhibitions to stay updated on market trends and new products.

MRP Management: Ensure the integrity of MRP planning parameters and manage component planning rules for cost and cycle time reduction.

Demand Analysis: Execute MRP signals for effective planning, including pull-ins, pushouts, and cancellations.

Material Support: Communicate with suppliers and place purchase orders based on MRP requirements.

Production Coordination: Collaborate with manufacturing teams and third-party suppliers for efficient production planning.

Data Integrity: Maintain accurate purchasing and planning master data for assigned materials and products.

Inventory Reporting: Monitor inventory levels against targets to ensure optimal raw materials and finished goods inventory.

Qualifications:

Experience: 3-5 years of Buying & Planning experience in a manufacturing environment is required.

Proven experience in inventory management within a manufacturing setting.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends.

Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

Familiarity with MRP systems and processes.

Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
