Emergency Medical Technician

Position Overview
The Mobile Care Services team handles over 19,500 ground transports annually, utilizing a fleet of 24 ground ambulances and operating type I, II, and III ambulances. As an Emergency Medical Technician, you will provide patient care and operate an ambulance as part of the Medical Center's critical and non-critical transport program.
Responsibilities
- Provide documentation of BLS patient conditions and care as needed for patients within the scope limits of practice for an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic.
- Clean and exhibit proper operation of ambulance-associated equipment and work area.
- Perform routine daily inspections and preventive maintenance of ambulances.
Requirements
- 1 year of clinical experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) preferred.
- 1 year of experience in emergency vehicle operations preferred.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Certificate in Emergency Medical Science required or Associate's Degree in Emergency Medical Science required.
- Emergency Medical Technician - Basic or higher required.
- Maintain Vehicle Operator Insurability required.
Work Schedule
Work a night shift schedule, with 3-12 hour shifts per week.
Weekend and Call Requirements
As needed, with no call requirements.
