Purpose and Scope

The EyeCare Advisor is responsible for creating exceptional value in the lives of our customers by delivering the LensCrafters experience. This involves ensuring that all patients receive the highest quality optometric care, while also meeting the company's key performance indicators. The ideal candidate will be able to seamlessly integrate the brand story and execute flawless execution of the patient experience/behaviors, linking the doctor and retail functions together.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly (within 30 seconds) and answer phone calls in a friendly and courteous manner (3 rings).
  • Explain all required paperwork, tests, products, and services to customers.
  • Review prescriptions and/or patient information carefully, identifying special needs and consulting with Optician, Managing Doctor, or Retail Management when necessary.
  • Show patience and courtesy to indecisive or difficult customers and patients.
  • Perform work accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume.
  • Identify situations involving unsatisfied customers and act quickly for resolution.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of appointment book/scheduling procedures and computer operation/procedures.
  • Handle and file all patient records in an organized and efficient manner in accordance with HIPAA.
  • Place contact lens orders, process shipments, and properly submit invoices for payment.
  • Operate the POS system terminal, inputting customer/patient and prescription information with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Achieve sales goals through effective communication, product knowledge, and customer engagement.

Retail Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrate good product knowledge, taking initiative to describe the features and benefits of various lenses and frames.
  • Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses that best suit their vision, lifestyle, and budgetary needs.

Doctor's Office Skills and Qualifications

  • Perform pre-examination testing with accuracy and attention to detail, explaining measurements and answering patient questions.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to patients on contact lens care and handling, utilizing clinical and product knowledge.
  • Maintain and disinfect contact lens inventory, providing clinical support to the Optometrist as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service skills (internal and external).
  • Knowledge of current fashion trends.
  • Strong communicator and listener.
  • Problem-solving ability.
  • Familiarity with cash register, computers, and calculators.
  • Organization skills.
  • Sales skills.
  • Strong basic math skills.
  • Knowledge of office and store merchandise.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in customer service, retail, and/or optical.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $18.22 to $25.14 per hour, based on location, experience, qualifications, and skills.
