Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Synergy MSO. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative and clinical support to our medical staff.

About the Role:

  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Interview patients to obtain their medical history and record this information in their medical files.
  • Perform routine screening tests, such as height and weight measurements and blood pressure checks.
  • Draw blood, remove sutures, and change dressings as required.
  • Purchase and maintain supplies and equipment, ensuring that everything is up-to-date and functioning properly.
  • Clean and sterilize medical equipment and instruments, adhering to strict hygiene protocols.
  • Properly dispose of contaminated supplies, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Assist physicians during examinations by handing over instruments and materials as needed.
  • Communicate with patients regarding results, medications, or other direction from physicians.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in a related field (such as healthcare administration or medical assisting).
  • 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting (combined education/experience may be considered as substitute for minimum experience).
  • CPR and first aid certification.
  • Certification as a medical assistant (CMA) preferred.

Skills:

  • Effective communication skills to gather information from patients and colleagues.
  • Able to maintain accurate records and perform administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Detailed oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy/physiology.
  • Patient-centered customer service skills to provide excellent care and support to patients.
