Plant Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Plant Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading food manufacturing company, where you will be responsible for the preventative and predictive maintenance of plant manufacturing equipment.
Job SummaryThis role requires a high degree of skill and proficiency in electrical and mechanical maintenance, including the ability to troubleshoot and maintain complex systems. As a Plant Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating PM programs, working with vendors on best maintenance practices, and supporting line techs during line outages.
Duties and Responsibilities- Electrical Maintenance: Inspect and maintain electrical equipment, including fuses, power panels, and supplies, motor starter/controls, inverters, and variable frequency drives.
- Mechanical Maintenance: Rebuild, replace, and repair valves and pumps using hand tools.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot electrical problems by locating information on and interpreting electrical wiring diagrams, and troubleshoot work-related problems by observing operating conditions, reviewing maintenance and repair histograms, discussing problems with operators, and making adjustments and repairs.
- PM Programs: Create, maintain, and update PM programs for assigned areas, working with vendors on suggested best maintenance practices and applying them to current equipment maintenance plans.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree in Industrial Engineering or Electronic or Maintenance Technology highly desirable.
- Shift Work: Must be able to work 2nd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) or 3rd Shift (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM).
- Overtime: Required to be available to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
- Technical Skills: SAP Expert Level, ability to read electrical schematics, basic understanding of AC/DC circuits, understanding of motor ratings, basic electrical wiring skills, maintenance planning and execution.
