Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations and provide treatment to patients utilizing advanced medical diagnostic skills.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance the quality and cost-effectiveness of patient care.
  • Manage patient referrals and serve as the attending physician for those requiring hospitalization.
  • Engage in academic and research initiatives as needed.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation that meets insurance requirements and manage appeals for any denials.
  • Participate in both inpatient and outpatient consultations, including on-call duties.

Position Highlights:

  • Join a robust care team that includes specialists in pulmonology, cardiology, and vascular surgery.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art technology including Da Vinci Robotic Surgery and Hybrid OR facilities.
  • Participate in surgical assistance and manage post-operative care.
  • Contribute to a collaborative environment with a focus on patient-centered care.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid Physician Assistant credential from the Texas Physician Assistant Board.
  • Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required.
  • Advanced Life Support certification is preferred.
  • A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program is mandatory, with a Master's degree being advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
