POSITION SUMMARY:
The Plasma Cutting Equipment Operator is tasked with the safe and effective operation of plasma cutting machinery within the Piping & Structural Fabrication Departments.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate plasma cutting machines and associated equipment.
- Load cutting programs, align metal sheets, and develop programs using CAD files.
- Convert measurements from fractions to decimals.
- Monitor material usage, calculate scrap rates, and manage raw material inventories.
- Ensure part quality meets specified Bill of Materials (BOM) and drawing measurements.
- Safely operate overhead cranes.
This role is crucial for maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency in our operations.
