Job Summary

Davis Behavioral Health, Inc. is seeking part-time Psych Tech candidates to join the clinical teams at our facilities. As a Psych Tech, you will work directly with clients experiencing behavioral health crises, engaging with them individually, managing the milieu, and providing supervision and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regulate emotions, manage impulsivity, and assist clients in learning skills for success in their home and community.
  • Manage the unit milieu and take crisis calls.
  • Facilitate skills development groups and assist professional staff in group activities.
  • Assist clients in accomplishing treatment objectives and record behaviors and activities.
  • Ensure compliance with developed programs and individual treatment plans.
  • Act as a liaison between clients, family, and professional staff.
  • Provide supervision and structure for clients on-site and off-unit.
  • Drive a 15-passenger van and transport clients to meetings and approved off-unit activities.
Work Schedule

Part-time employees will work their assigned shifts, including on-call shifts. The following positions are currently available:

  • CRU: Saturday and Sunday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, 2-3 on-call shifts per week.
  • Receiving Center: Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, 2-3 on-call shifts per week.
Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is $18.25 per hour. Shift differential compensation is also available for swing shift and graveyard/weekend shifts.

Requirements

Previous experience working as a psych tech or in the social work industry is strongly preferred. Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office products are required. High school graduation and one year of full-time employment in a related clerical field are also required.
