Job Overview:

This Senior Cloud Operations Engineer role is a strong advocate of cloud technology, driving the organization's next-generation technologies through engineering support. The incumbent works to adopt, expand, maintain, and optimize cloud usage across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud-based technical architectures, migration approaches, and deployment of cloud resources that enable business objectives.
  • Define cloud resource procurement and performance patterns through monitoring and tracking of usage and trends to optimize cloud spend and resource efficiency.
  • Develop automation scripts and other repeatable patterns to enable application and service teams to deploy software and services into cloud environments.
  • Perform research and analysis required for new cloud deployment proposals, existing cloud service modification, and other new cloud adoption.
  • Mentor less senior Cloud Operation Engineers and provide general training on cloud technologies.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree in Cloud Computing, Computer Science, or a related field is required. At least 5 years of experience with modern programming languages and cloud service providers is also required. Experience designing scalable cloud-based solution architectures, version control via GitLab, and IT security practices are preferred.

Salary Range:

$78,900 - $146,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
