Direct Support Professional I

Evergreen Life Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional I to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional I, you will play a vital role in maintaining a healthy, safe, and therapeutic environment for individuals served, while following through on their individual care plans.
Job SummaryResponsible for ensuring the health and welfare of individuals served, assisting with medication and treatment plans, and supporting daily life activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and community services. This is a PRN position, requiring flexibility and adaptability to work varying shifts and locations.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the health and welfare of individuals served
- Assist with medication and treatment plans
- Support daily life activities, including meal preparation and personal hygiene
- Assist with community services, such as shopping and transportation
- Complete required documentation and implement behavioral programs as trained
- Effectively read, write, and communicate verbally in English
- Meet and maintain all requirements of applicable state agencies, including good standing with the state abuse and neglect registry
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to learn basic computer skills and prior experience as a direct support worker or in a caregiving capacity
May be required to work in a variety of settings and environments, both indoors and outdoors. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, days, and weekends.
