About The Arc of Butler County:

Since incorporating in 1957, The Arc of Butler County has served individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through advocacy, informing individuals and families of their rights, and providing residential and vocational services.

We are seeking a Specialized Caregiver to join our Residential Group Home Program. This direct-care position involves the implementation of residential services to individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with meal planning, grocery shopping, preparation of meals, and kitchen clean-up and maintenance.
  • Manage household upkeep under the direction of the Residential Program Supervisor.
  • Assist residents with care of their clothing, use of washers and dryers, and instructing personal hygiene and appropriate dress.
  • Provide transportation when necessary using agency vehicle.
  • Complete daily anecdotal and progress notes regarding residents.
  • Administer and document medications.

This position is directly supervised by a Residential Program Manager. Specific duties are assigned based on performance, resident progress, and other factors.

Salary: $15.45 per hour to start plus $1.50 shift differential, with potential for wage increases every January 1st and additional pay for longevity and years of service.

Requirements:

  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENT: Education - High School graduate or equivalent

Estimated Salary Range: Based on location and experience, the estimated salary range for this position is $31,300 - $41,400 per year.
