About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Retail Sales Associate at the Navy Exchange. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting our products, and contributing to the overall success of our retail operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service
    • Engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
    • Provide personalized recommendations and solutions to meet customer needs.
    • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Product Knowledge
    • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and features to effectively communicate with customers.
    • Assist customers in finding products and answering questions about our merchandise.
  • Sales and Merchandising
    • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
    • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking shelves and rotating merchandise.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
    • Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience
    • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
    • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
Working Conditions

This role involves standing for long periods, moving around the sales floor, and lifting up to 50 pounds. You will work in a fast-paced retail environment with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
