Northeast Healthcare Recruitment is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Neurocritical Care team on a locum tenens basis in a major metropolitan area.
Job Responsibilities- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with acute neurological conditions in a Neurocritical Care setting.
- Participate in patient care as part of a multidisciplinary neurocritical care team, including attending physicians, fellows, residents, and other APPs.
- Rounding with the critical care team to discuss and coordinate patient care, including patient histories, comprehensive physical examinations, and consultations with other specialties.
- Implement treatment plans and communicate them to patients and families, providing follow-up and education as needed.
- Perform inpatient consultations and maintain detailed and accurate medical records.
- Perform procedures such as central line placement, arterial line placement, intubation, lumbar punctures, and other similar tasks.
- Staple/suture removal and placement
- Wound care and packing
- NGT (Nasogastric Tube) placement
- Lumbar drain placement and removal
- Spine braces and cervical collar placement and removal
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Massachusetts.
