Job Overview

FPI Management, Inc. is seeking a skilled Affordable Housing Community Director to lead our team in delivering exceptional property management services.

Salary and Benefits

Responsibilities
  • Client Relations: Foster strong relationships with clients by carrying out their philosophies and wishes in daily operations, ensuring that FPI meets their objectives and expectations.
  • Communication: Maintain positive, professional communication with applicants, residents, vendors, clients, and guests while representing FPI.
  • Employee Management: Develop and manage the site team, including hiring, training, and evaluating employees. Ensure all open positions are filled in a timely manner and maintain compliance with department requirements.
  • Leasing/Occupancy: Maintain occupancy levels as established by owner/budget expectations. Oversee leasing techniques, complete monthly market surveys, and develop advertising strategies as needed.
  • Revenue Management: Manage the maximum revenue potential of the property through lease expirations, timely turnover, rent collections, and delinquency management. Participate in budget development and financial reporting.
  • Reporting and Document Management: Maintain resident files, ensure document integrity, and meet periodic reporting requirements. Assist in budget preparation and delivery.
  • Risk Management: Ensure compliance with risk management items, report injuries and damages, and maintain current permits and licenses.
  • Facility Maintenance: Assist residents with maintenance needs, document facility issues, and monitor physical assets.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience with affordable housing programs, including LIHTC, HUD programs, and USDA-Rural Development.
  • Affordable Housing Accreditation or other applicable designations.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar leadership role, preferably in residential property management.
  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate required; college degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and motor vehicle insurance meeting state requirements.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office, Google Apps, and property management software.
