Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced pediatric rheumatologist to join our team as a faculty member at the University of Virginia. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical care to children with pediatric rheumatologic disorders, teaching and supervising trainees and students, and contributing to the growth and development of our clinical pediatric rheumatology program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality clinical care to children with pediatric rheumatologic disorders in the ambulatory setting and perform inpatient consults at UVA Children's Hospital.
  • Teach and supervise trainees and students in the field of pediatric rheumatology.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of our clinical pediatric rheumatology program, including developing and implementing new clinical services and programs.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members and staff to advance the clinical, educational, and scholarly goals of the Section of Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology.
Requirements
  • Medical doctorate degree or equivalent.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Rheumatology training program and Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Rheumatology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in pediatric rheumatology research and education.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
