About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacist to join our team at BrightSpring Health Services. As a Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our clients in long-term care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness, making recommendations for therapy changes as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient/resident databases, including current and past medical history, clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medication.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide clinical and technical support, ensuring safe and effective medication management.
- Implement policies and procedures for the safe procurement, storage, distribution, and use of medications, as well as disposal of expired or unused medications.
- Document all communication with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members in the medical record.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy; PharmD preferred.
- One year of experience in long-term care pharmacy.
- Licenses/Certifications: As required by government regulations and business needs.
- Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, team player, and excellent oral communication skills.
